David Bentley, who earlier this year revealed he had to fight and online gambling addiction, everything from bingo to poker, has also revealed that he wants out of the Blackburn Rovers football team. He is just really surprised that it has taken him so long to come to this realization. Well it appears as though this is a year of revelation for this young man.

It’s a Bingo for George

A twenty one year old man, George Carter didn’t know what had hit him when he won more than ₤21 000 while playing bingo for only the third time in two years. He said he was quite simply, “speechless”, and he still can’t quite believe his luck. George was playing bingo with three friends at the Gala Club in Basingstoke Leisure Park when good fortune struck. He won ₤20 000 on the national Bingo prize, ₤1 004 on the Regional and a house prize of ₤120.

CARE Home Cleaner Wins in Telegraph Bingo Competition

An Accrington CARE home cleaner, Melita Flanagan, aged sixty years, said that she couldn’t believe she had won. She said that she is not normally a lucky person, but this time she has obviously been proven wrong, you never know when lady luck might be peering over your shoulder and if you don’t enter, you certainly won’t have a chance of winning. The Telegraph runs a weekly bingo competition, where readers have to collect different bingo numbers daily in the paper. She won ₤500 and she says that her husband texted her to tell her she had won but she thought he was pulling her leg.

Melita of Cromwell Avenue in Accrington, and who is obviously luckier than she thought she was is going to use the bingo prize money to take a much needed holiday with her husband. She also said that she couldn’t wait to see the newspaper delivery man to tell him she won and see what he says about it. Her daughter and sister both think that the bingo win was brilliant, and everyone at her place of work is really pleased for her.

Library Assistant Wins Platinum Bingo Prize

A thirty-six year old library assistant is the latest in a long row of Platinum bingo winners in the UK. She has just won a total of ₤270 486. The woman who wishes to remain anonymous said that this is the most amazing thing that has every happened to her and she had no sleep at all after the huge win. Young Man Pleads With Judge to Allow Him to Play Bingo

A twenty-three year old man, appearing before a magistrate and given an ASBO for repeatedly being drunk and disorderly, pleaded with the Magistrate and managed to persuade the Magistrate to allow him special leave to attend his local Gala Bingo Club in Cumbria. Land-based Bingo Club Closures Affect the Elderly

Many land-based bingo clubs in the UK have been forced into closure due to the double taxation enforced by the Government, actually, forty-three in the last fourteen months, and it appears as though this trend is going to continue into the future. We already know that the Government has no intention of rectifying the problem, and have even increased the tax burden of land-based bingo clubs.
