A fifty-eight year old man who does not want to be named is one of the long lines of lucky winners of the UK National Bingo game. He was playing bingo at the Gala club in Camberwell when he caught the Platinum prize, a huge ₤410 000. He works as a courier driver and wants to pay off his mortgage with his winnings. He is married and has two children, one of with is in university and he is delighted that he can pay off his sons student loan.

He says that is a great feeling to know that he won’t have to pay his mortgage every month but he is still in shock by his win and nearly had a heart attack when he heard how much he had won. He has been playing bingo since the 1970’s and usually plays at another club, but a twist of fate changed all that for him. He was shopping in Brixton and was too late to go an play at his normal club in Crystal Palace, so he went to the Camberwell club instead. He feels that his bingo win must have been decided by fate, because when he called bingo in forty-one calls on the number ninety he won the National Bingo Platinum rollover.
