A twenty one year old man, George Carter didn’t know what had hit him when he won more than ₤21 000 while playing bingo for only the third time in two years. He said he was quite simply, “speechless”, and he still can’t quite believe his luck. George was playing bingo with three friends at the Gala Club in Basingstoke Leisure Park when good fortune struck. He won ₤20 000 on the national Bingo prize, ₤1 004 on the Regional and a house prize of ₤120.

On the night of George’s big win the National Bingo Prize stood at ₤60 000 but he has to share the prize with two other winners, one in Leeds and another in Derby, who all called bingo in forty six numbers. He said that his parents wouldn’t believe him until he showed them the claim form that the bingo club had given him, and even then they though eh had been to friends’ house to make it.

George is an accounts assistant and has a pre-booked holiday planned to Lanzarote, so he will have a bit of extra spending money, so he can have a really good time. He also plans to use the balance of his winnings as a deposit for a flat.
