The Bingo for Breakthrough campaign, runs every year in October, and at present all the bingo clubs in the UK are gearing up for this massive fund raising week. This year’s events take place from the 19th to the 25th October, and are being represented by actress Michelle Collins. She has already appeared in ball gown made of bingo tickets for the launch of this unique event.

She was a little disappointed when she received her birthday congratulations card from the Queen though, as she shook the envelope like a teenager expecting cash, she said she would have “much rather had a cheque” J
Woman Shares Bingo Winnings with Sister
A sixty four year old Worcester woman has won ₤20 000 while playing bingo at the gala Bingo Club in Forgate Street. She was one of the recent winners who called bingo in forty five numbers and had to share with three other player who all did exactly the same thing. This is a most unusual occurrence and in all my time of bingo reporting, it is the first time I have ever seen more than two winners sharing the same prize.
Bingo For Breakthrough 2008
Bingo for Breakthrough is a national campaign that is supported by the National Bingo Game Association and its sister organisation the Bingo Association to support the breast cancer cause. This event takes place every year and more than four hundred bingo clubs nationwide dedicate a full week to the cause by playing games to win pink teddies and various other fund raising activities. Traditionally Bingo for Breakthrough takes place in October and this year is it scheduled to take place from Sunday 19th – 25th October 2008.
