Ruth Dale aged forty Eight and her bingo playing partner Lynn Harvey aged fifty-one both employed at the Alliance and Leicester bank, hatched and elaborated plot to fleece elderly people of their savings. Apparently the extent of the scam reached a staggering ₤100 000. Both women have bee fired from their positions in the bank and charged with the alleged theft of over ₤100 000.

Apparently customers at the Alliance and Leicester bank in Brighton had already complained to management about funds going missing from their accounts, but it was blamed on a computer glitch and the ladies continued to get away with their elaborate plan. Until one woman who was concerned about funds going missing from her elderly mothers account, put up a real fight. The police were then called in and the two bingo playing scamsters were found out.

They have both been placed on bail, pending police investigations, however the bank has already investigated both of them and sacked them. The bank said that they had not further comment on the matter. It was now in the hands of the law to decide the fate of the scheming pair.
