Advertising Online U.K. Bingo Games Meet With Objections

For any business, advertisement is the key to attract mass appeal and U.K. Bingo Game online sites are no exception. Over the years, the advertisement media have changed a lot and come up far from their print, news papers and radio versions to the visual media of present day in television channels.
Owing to their allotted duration of only seconds, the advertisements should catch the eyes of the TV viewers and make the desired impact in their mind within this short-span of time.  Advertising agencies are therefore in constant pressure to search for novel ideas and animations or snapshots to convey what they want in split seconds. Telling a big story or a school of thought should be made possible through them and out of thousands of advertisements, there are still some that make a flutter.

One such TV advertisement about an online Bingo Game site in U.K. -  William Hill Bingo – has made news, for wrong reasons of course.  This advertisement carried by YouTube shows a housewife altering the kitchen clock, so that her husband will go out before time and she will have more Bingo playing time.

The theme has evoked alround objections from the audience in U.K. and some of them alerting the Advertisement Standards Authority.  The advertisement was banned from showing based on these complaints.  The contention of the complainants was the ad shows a lady as addict to Bingo Games and she forsakes her family duties as a loyal wife.
The concerned site has refuted the charges and maintained that the advertisement was not intentional to harm anyone and what was shown is a light-hearted comedy.
Well – many debates can emanate on this issue, pro and anti, for quite some time from now.  The center of them will be that U.K. Bingo games are favoring British ladies as their main chunk of fans, sidelining the male Bingo players!
